Georgetown ISD Accountability Ratings
The Texas Education Agency (TEA) annually rates state’s school districts and their campuses, with an emphasis on student academic performance which is determined based on a variety of factors. These among others also include student progress, graduation rate and postsecondary readiness. Under the accountability rating system for Texas schools and districts, these are rated as Met Standard, Met Alternative Standard or Improvement Required, with “Met Standard” campuses being eligible for one or more special distinctions: Academic Achievement in Mathematics, Academic Achievement in Reading/English Language Arts, Academic Achievement in Science, Academic Achievement in Social Studies, Top 25 Percent: Closing Performance Gaps, Top 25: Student Progress and Postsecondary Readiness.

In 2015, all Georgetown ISD schools were rated as Met Standard with the exception of Richarte High School which was rated as Met Alternative Standard. Several campuses earned one or more special distinctions – 15 in total. Postsecondary Readiness accounted for the largest number of earned distinctions (5), followed by Academic Achievement in Reading/English Language Arts, Academic Achievement in Social Studies and Top 25: Student Progress. None of the district’s schools received all distinctions available/eligible.

Carver Elementary Accountability Rating and Performance
As the second in-community Teravista elementary school, the new Carver Elementary serves students from southeast Georgetown as well as Teravista neighborhoods from pre-kindergarden through 2nd grade. It was rated as Met Standard based on the rating of its “pair” 3rd-5th grade campus (Dell Pickett Elementary) as the state testing doesn’t begin until the 3rd grade. Attended by over 400 students, the Carver Elementary opened at its current location in August 2015 when it was relocated from its former location at the Carver Park.
