Here’s a few things a bit out of the norm that you might want to mix in your schedule this December…

A Christmas Carol
Georgetown Palace Theatre,  810 S Austin Ave, Georgetown
Join the Holiday magic at the Georgetown Palace Theatre and enjoy Charles Dickens’ classic telling the story of Ebenezer Scrooge receiving a visit from the ghost of his former business partner. Suitable for the entire family, the play will run from December 8 to December 30. For tickets (adult $32), please go to the Theatre’s official website or contact the box office.

December 9  | $3 Registration
Annual Trout Fishing Derby
Georgetown San Gabriel Park,  445 E Morrow St, Georgetown
If you enjoy fishing and prizes, be sure to register for the Annual Trout Fishing Derby held at Georgetown’s San Gabriel Park this December 9. All participants aged 17 and above need a fishing permit and that only one pole is permitted per person. Registration fee is $3 but the admission for spectators is free of charge.

December 14 – 23  | Free admission
Christmas Towne
Old Settlers Association & Dell Diamond Parking, 3400 E Palm Valley Blvd, Round Rock

Celebrate the Holidays at the Christmas Towne held at the Old Settlers Association and the Dell Diamond parking lot from December 14 to December 23! Fun for the entire family, Christmas Towne will entertain visitors with a spectacular light display and a walking tunnel of lights, carnival rides, great food, and much more. Entry is free.

December 15  | Starts at $2
Swim with Santa
Georgetown Recreation Center, 1003 N Austin Ave, Georgetown
Swim into the holiday season with Santa at the Georgetown Recreation Center Indoor Pool. The event is great for all ages from children and adults to seniors aged 55 and up. To register ($2 youth 4-18 & seniors 55+, $3 adults 19-54; infants 0-3 & members: free), please go to the Georgetown Parks and Recreation Department. After the swim, you will be able to warm up with hot chocolate and candy canes!

December 16  | Free admission
Williamson County Symphony Orchestra Christmas Concert
St. William Catholic Church, 620 Round Rock West Cove, Round Rock

Williamson County Symphony Orchestra invites you to join them for a Christmas Concert held at the St. William Catholic Church in Round Rock on December 16. The Christmas Concert will feature classics like Overture to A Merry Christmas, Following Yonder Star, Hark the Herald Angels Sing, Sleigh Ride and other Christmas favorites. Admission to the concert is free and starts at 7.30 pm.
