Designing the Details

designing-the-detailsBrian and Danielle LeMasters will tell you that their move to Texas from sunny San Diego was the best decision they could have made for their family. Southern California natives, the LeMasters family includes five kids and creative grandpa, Rich Walker.

Brian, a Marine Corps Veteran, and Danielle were contemplating a big family move in 2013 and all signs were pointing to Austin. On their scouting trip to Round Rock, they stumbled upon the Teravista neighborhood and knew right away this was the place they wanted to raise their family. “We love the friendly people, the small town feel, the ease of living here. We can’t imagine ever moving out of Texas,” says Danielle.

The LeMasters are looking forward to spending this month enjoying the cooler weather, family-oriented activities and big meals around the table. The two oldest LeMasters boys play professional rugby for the Austin Huns while the younger ones stay active in school and frequent the parks and playgrounds of Teravista. It’s certain the family’s home will be decked out in holiday lights as the family likes to cruise around for downtown holiday light inspiration.

There’s a creative streak in this family as well! Danielle’s father, Rich A. Walker is the founder for RAW Art Design in San Diego. Rich, a talented modern artist, started his business 15 years ago and specializes in creating art out of reclaimed materials. Following in his family’s footsteps, he moved to Texas in March of this year and works with Danielle creating and designing for friends, family and new clientele. Together they focus on adding color and life to their clients’ homes and businesses through unique statement pieces.  The neighborhood saw some of the RAW Art collection at the 2nd Annual Farmhouse Holiday Craft Show last November and the duo plans on showcasing their work in more local fairs and festivals.
